1．ケリー氏の紹介

Welcome, everyone. We’re very glad to see you all here.
I am Todd Stern, US special envoy for climate change.
And it’s my real pleasure and previledge to be able to introduce to you a speaker of this afternoon,
the Secretary of State, John Kerry.
As many of you may know, he’s a no stranger to this process.
I’ve heard that it’s said that the Secretary has been to every major COP since the beginning.
I can personally attest him to be in first 2 important COPs, as I was there
at Kyoto, and many years later at Copenhagen.
Sometimes he would be the only representative from US congress there.

国務長官、ジョン・ケリー氏です。
ご存知かもしれませんが、彼はこの分野の専門家です。
国務長官は、COP当初から主要な会議にすべて出席していると聞いています。
重要なCOPである京都とコペンハーゲンには私も出席していますので、間違いありません。
